Hopes and Dreams

Well as I lie here recovering from a horse riding accident at Christmas. I have chance to think… dream of an existence away from the rat race.

Having been a lady trucker for 33 years I feel the time is quickly approaching where I would like to slow down the pace of life… and what better way than to turn my attention to a much loved combination of the outdoors, water, and a slower pace of life… the canals, narrowboats and a dream of starting a business.

Let the cogs ticking in my head be the start of an exciting journey 😊

  1. I hope your recovering goes well.
I still remember as a youngster the horse flipped and fell on me. Among other stories of my hoseback days. Great animals, I specially loved taking one that was untraind and make hime or her be trained. Lot of work as a kid I should add. But also taught me a lesson about life in general.

    1. Thank you. They are great to teach us patience and understanding. To take to the tumbles in life and get right back up. I can just stand and watch them in awe, they are such majestic creatures.

      1. It brought a lot of good memories, they are majestic creatures. And once you horseback one of them that is wild and make him not wild and be able to jump this barrier at this certain hight and I liked even more the ” doma” when you teach the animal to move it´s feet here or there, make little jump when you want. A lot of training for the animal and for me, but it made you feel one with the animal, the animal was an extensión of you and I was very young but good.
        Great to meet you Cathryn.
